Introducing Real-Time Spoofing Notifications
With GPSwise, thousands of pilots and operators already rely on our live data to understand where GPS jamming and spoofing are happening. That visibility has helped crews, dispatchers, and regulators make sense of a threat that was once invisible. But watching the map is only part of the picture. The next step is knowing when spoofing directly affects you. That’s what we’re introducing today: real-time notifications.
Why Notifications Matter
Spoofing is not a distant or theoretical risk. Over the past year, operators have experienced events lasting hours, often affecting multiple aircraft within the same region. While detecting spoofing is a technical challenge, the real operational difficulty is knowing when your fleet or airspace is impacted.
Notifications solve this. Instead of constantly scanning dashboards or checking reports after the fact, your team is alerted the moment spoofing occurs within your scope.
Two Types of Alerts
Fleet Alerts
If one of your aircraft is spoofed, your operations team receives an immediate notification. This allows you to contact the crew in real time, confirm onboard conditions, and provide support while the flight is still airborne.
Area Alerts
You can also monitor specific geographic regions such as Flight Information Regions (FIRs). When spoofing starts or stops within that area, you’ll be notified. This is especially valuable for ANSPs, spectrum regulators, and operators relying heavily on GPS.
How You’ll Receive Notifications
We deliver alerts where your team already works.
- Email — Receive detailed incident reports that can be logged, shared, or archived
- Slack — Teams can see alerts together and coordinate quickly
Setup is simple: choose your fleets or areas, select email, Slack, or both, and start receiving alerts immediately. No complex integration required.
Why Now
Spoofing remains concentrated in certain hotspots, often linked to conflict zones, but its operational impact is expanding. When multiple commercial flights report anomalies in the same airspace, the consequences are immediate: diversions, reroutes, delays, and cockpit uncertainty.
Real-time awareness helps operators:
- Support crews during active spoofing events
- Minimize disruption through early route adjustments
- Provide regulators with objective incident data
- Strengthen safety oversight with concrete evidence
Try It Yourself
We’re offering a 7-day free trial of GPSwise notifications.
During the trial, you can:
